With a few smoke grenades in hand, Emily and I went to some abandoned ruins in Brantford Ontario to have a fun Halloween photoshoot.
I had no exact plan on where I was going to set up, but knew the old structure would be a perfect location. After a little while of assessing where to set up, we decided and had some smokey fun!
Vlog of the shoot:
In the video I mention finding out what the ruins are. Here is what I found.
“Watts Powerhouse was built in 1875 when Brantford sold the upper system of canals to Alfred Watts, a
miller, on the condition that he maintain it in good shape. He produced a power mill that utilized water
power to supply electricity. Because of this mill, most of Brantford had power by 1885.” Source: https://www.grandriver.ca/en/our-watershed/resources/Documents/Heritage-Inventory_As-of-March-13_2013.pdf
