Almost every photographer can appreciate a rainy street scene, but when you just add color dimension it can be incredibly artistic.
Trying something a little different, I set out for a night of light trails on the rainy streets of Hamilton. It was a relatively perfect setting. Spotting the reflections throughout the puddles, I incorporated the light trails from the traffic whilst capturing the colorful reflections. The result was a watercolor light trail, resonating with the effect of an artwork painting. Essentially combining the photography element with a watercolor painting appearance.
For this set, the reflections, light and color were the key focal points framed where the eye would follow. I look forward to trying this style out further!
